Long Overdue, Weddings and More Weddings!

Been awhile since our last post, it has been pretty busy around here this summer.

Here is a little update of what has been going on with us.

So, yes that would be all 3 of Ethan's remaining sisters all married in July.

Everyone in Ethan's family is married now, I am excited for more cousins to join the clan in the next few years.

I was able to take a solo trip out out to Utah to see this bestie get married.

hair...judah has hair! this is so weird for me cause noah was pretty much bald up until about 6 months ago when his hair finely decided to grow and it is still all crazy, long in the back, short on front. curly. we get more comments on noah's hair.

noahs' hair has always had a mind of its own!

but judah's hair is coming in blond. ? yup i have no idea. i guess ethan does have sisters with blond hair so who knows. we love it though!

noah just loves to climb into jude's crib when he has woken up from his morning nap.

we cannot wait until these two can really play together! oh and fight. and you would not believe how much jude looks like my sister lauren when she was a baby! crazy!

jude had his 6 month check up and he weighed 13 1/2 pounds and is 23 inches long. yup thats right. he is in the .98% for his weight. my dr just said he's a foushee. tiny guy.

noah had his 2 yr check up (about 3 months late) he weighs 24 pounds and is 34 inches tall.

yup i have me some tiny babies and i love them so much!

memorial day and a little break from the rain

it has rained 19 days in a row here! i know i live in oregon and yes it does rain here a lot which is fine, but 19 days in a row is really starting to depress me. not having any sun is also not fun when you have 2 yr old that normally lives outside in our backyard.

so when we got some relief on memorial day and a little bit of sun, (yes it still rained that day) we went straight to the park. we were bbq at my parent house and they have the coolest park by there house. my dad took some pictures. not sure where that whole head tilt thing comes from but ok. finally today the sun came out and noah has been out in the backyard since he woke up at about 8 this morning!

weddings galore

we just get back from utah. weddings, weddings, and more weddings! we have 7 weddings this summer! crazy! 3 of ethan's sisters are getting married in july. we just went to 2 weddings in utah, last week my cousin shawn and wonderful friend summer were both married, and have 2 more good friends getting married in july and august!

i love weddings and am sooo excited although july is going to be insane!

we had such a wonderful time visiting with our family and friends. sometimes i wish that we lived there especially since my parents are MOVING TO TEXAS in august! don't get me started on that! anyways...here are a few pictures from the trip.

noah put this hat on at his cousins and said, "i am a cowboy!" i had no clue he could even say the word cowboy, he is such the little talker. he says something new everyday and is stating to make sentences.

beck's had a neighbor boy who had a 4-wheeler and noah loved it. i was a nervous mom though and would only let him sit on it even though ethan wanted to take him for a ride. that helmet makes his body look so tiny, well i guess he is really tiny.

we had such a great easter. noah overdosed on candy, we ate yummy breakfast at ethan's folks, and a yummy dinner at my parents house later that day.

the easter bunny came but i don't think noah understood at all who the basket of goodies were from. they have the easter bunny at the mall to see and take pictures with, but after the santa fiasco, i opted out.

we had so much fun celebrating noah's birthday with our family and friends! we had a yo gabba gabba party!

i made the cake, marshmallow fondant and all. it was not quite how i wanted it to turn out but it was fun.

my rainbow tie dye and raspberry filling. i am off the sugar these days so i am not sure how it tasted. everyone said it was good, but they may have just been trying to be nice. i will never know.

noah is so lucky to have a lot of cousins that live near by. he loooovvvveeees being around them.

little trip to phoenix

we were able to go visit ethan while he was working out in phoenix. he had already been there for a week working and we came and visited the 2nd week he was there. i have never been there, ethan has been working out there on and off since the summer and he really knows his way around.

ethan's sister brooke and brother cameron both live out there. noah has 2 cousins isaac and jacob that are his same age that he got to play with. he loved it! there were 4 new foushee cousins born in 2008 and they were all boys. what can i say out of the 23 foushee grandkids, only 7 of them are girsl! pretty crazy! which is kinda funny, in ethan's family of 10, the girls out number the boys 6 to 4.

we did lots of fun things, we went to this really cool train park in scottsdale and rode a train and a carousel. we ate some of brooke's so yummy food! (no so great for my diet :( vacation right??) we drove around a lot looking at the houses ethan has worked on, we went to a german restaurant that was on diners, drive-ins, and dives that was soooo yummy, and of course we hit up the H&M in scottsdale. we had so much fun

2 things i love about my noah

1 he is so cuddly, loves to give hugs, kisses, and is a wonderful snuggler!

2 he is so polite; always says please, thank you, and you're welcome!

so many more wonderful things i could say about my noah, but we will limit it to the 2

he got a thomas ride on train (i <3 craigslist) and got to go to chuck e cheese for the 1st time (tip: always the cleanest when 1st open and never any people there on the weekday)

jude wanted nothing to with the snow, this look says it all!

we has snow a few days after xmas! it didn't last long but we had to play in it!

happy 2010! what has been happening with us...

judah had his 2 month checkup and he weighed 10.5 pounds and is 25 inches long. he is doing pretty well. he has been sleeping through the night for awhile now. he won't nap in his crib, only on the couch or in his swing, but sleeps fine in his crib at night. he is smiling and cooing up a storm. he is still going bald, but bald is beautiful.

noah is turning 2 the first of march. he finally has a ton of hair and mom is refusing to ever cut it. i cannot believe how fast he is growing. he is talking a lot and can do a summersalt. (yes i totally spelled it how it sounds) he is just our little guy, very busy, gets into everything. he enjoys going to the park when it is not raining, reading books, chasing the dogs, and taking bubble baths. he loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses.

ethan is super busy which is awesome! he is still going to az for a couple weeks in the month which we HATE, but work is work. he just got the ugliest basketball shoes ever! i have to give him crap for getting purple and gold shoes! he loves them though. he is still going to the gym and playing bball at night, i just pray that he does not get hurt.

katie(me) is officially a stay at home momma. we decided that the cost of daycare for 2 babes and my income was not worth it. plus the thought of having my 3 month old in daycare made me sick. we were lucky when we had family watching noah. i miss working though. i really liked my job and most of all, i LOVED my co-workers and miss them dearly! i am still doing some working from home for them and may still go to help them out from time to time. i have adjusted to being home all day and it has been an adjustment, we try and stay busy. i have been doing a lot more cooking and love being with my boys. i love naptime as well.

well that is our 2010 so far, for the 5 people or so that read our blog or just look at pictures. that is ok too! hope your 2010 is as exciting as ours!

thanksgiving

five weeks old and losing all his hair on top!

he is definitely getting the 2nd child treatment...no pictures! i now understand why me being the 2nd child has hardly any baby pictures. i told myself i would not do that to my sweet little judah, but i am beginning to think i am starting to fail him. i have resorted to using my crappy iPhone camera when i remember because i am too lazy to walk and get the real camera. i am vowing to get better about it and i promise you judah, i will take pictures!

he has been such a good baby! he is sleeping great at night, waking up at around 3pm to eat and then wakes up about 7am. he is a happy baby and is content just chilling in his swing which is very helpful when i need to deal with noah. we are loving having him apart of our family!

Judah is changing already so much! He is a pretty good baby, does like to be held. He is finally sleeping in his crib and not in bed with mom and dad. He is still waking up 2x a night to eat but hopefully we can get that down to 1 feeding here in the next couple of weeks!

At his 2 week appointment he weighed a whopping 7.3 pounds and is already 21 inches long. He still has hair and not much as fallen out yet...knock on wood. We are still trying to figure out who he looks like and where he came from.

Judah James Foushee

born 11/5 at 1:13pm

I was induced. I went in a 7:00am and he was out at 1:13pm after 3 pushes. My epidural never kicked in because they were giving it to me right when I felt the need to push, my Dr didn't even make it and a midwife that happened to be walking by my room ended up delivering the baby. I literally went from a 3 to a 10 in like 30 minutes. I was in complete shock. IT HURT LIKE HELL! I think I should be able to say that I have experienced natural child birth!

Noah was Lil' Bones

He could not quite say treat or treat but he does have something down that sounds like thank you and of course Bye!

We went just on our street, it was fun. He really loved saying hi to the other kids trick or treating and see the neighbors doggies. I am thinking now of next Halloween with 2 little ones instead of just Noah.

Speaking of the little one, I am getting induced on the 5th, about a week early. Ethan is leaving for AZ to work for a week with Sean, so we had to have him before he leaves me alone for a week with a newborn and a 20 month old who has been especially clingy lately. I think Noah can sense that the baby is coming or something. I am very lucky to have all of our family very close by, so I know I will be fine and have plenty of help if I need it.

We were a little bummed when we found out because of the H1N1 flu, no one under 18 is allowed in the birthing center and we can only have 2 visitors at a time including Ethan, so when Ethan is there only one other person can be in the room. So Noah can't come to the hospital to meet his brother for the 1st time. We were kinda bummed about that. Anyways! I guess better safe then sorry. So next week we will have a new addition to the family. Pretty crazy how fast it went!

been awhile

so been awhile and we have had few things going on. not much, but a few!

noah is doing great, sleeping in a big boy bed now and is in nursery at church which he loves. he is also doing a pre-preschool class once a week for a month. he just loves being around other kids. his new favorite word is NO, he loves to dance, and loves being outside. we had some pictures taken in august which turned out so great.

we had a family reunion on my mother's side down at the beach in august and had a blast staying up late playing games and eating a lot! we stayed a beautiful house and hung out at the beach.
We went out to Utah a few weeks ago to say good bye to my beautiful grandmother who passed away, it was such a great trip, very bittersweet! It was fun to see all my extended family and hear fun stories about my grandmother, she led such an amazing life and we will all miss her dearly.

we have about 5 weeks till the new little guy joins our little family. still just hanging in there.

we have had a few fun couple of weeks, ethan and i celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on the 27th of june. we got each other a new blu-ray dvd player. very cool.

ethan has been working in phoenix and was suppose to not be back until the 9th and we were so happy to have him come home on the 3rd instead! so he was here for the 4th, his birthday and my birthday! the 4th we had a bbq at our house with way too much yummy food. we played the wii, lite some fireworks, and play quite the game of horse. my mom is quite the horse player!

ethan's birthday was on the 5th big 28! he is 2 years closer to 30! crazy to think about. we went to his 10yr high school reunion not too long ago and that was weird. we had a pretty low key day for his birthday, went to church, ate some mexican for lunch, and that night we went to sean and polly's for a bbq. he got some nice new headphones for his iphone and REALLY nice surround sound speaker system for the new blu-ray dvd player.

my birthday was the 7th, and our poor little noah was so sick with a fever on and off. so we stayed in. i got the new iphone which i heart!! we ordered some take out and enjoyed a night in with the sick bubbas.

we finally took noah to the dr since his fever had been on and off for like 4 days and of course he had an ear infection to go along with the fever. he is fine now, we just had a few rough nights and lots of snot and drool. pretty gross. he is also getting some new teeth, so i am sure that had a lot to do with it.

friday the 10th, ethan and i went to the coldplay concert!!! it was so awesome, they are amazing live! they even played billie jean for michael jackson, which was really cool. at one point, the band moved to the back and sang a couple of songs, ethan immediately jumped up and ran over there. i was good. being almost 6 months pregnant, standing for 2 hours is not ideal. i opted to sit down and watch it on the big screen instead. pretty fun show!

so almost 6 months along and still feeling fine. i remember being pregnant with noah and being very dramatic about everything, but 2nd time around is a piece of cake. i am just getting HUGE! i swear it is an overnight thing, i just woke up one morning and my belly was 2x as big as the day before. he has starting kicking more which is fun to feel. we go in on the 6th for another ultrasound to check on a few things so we will get some more pictures.

ethan heads back to the heat that is arizona tomorrow for another 2 weeks. he will be missed again. i miss him already just being at work all day while he gets to stay with noah and play all day. so jealous! few pictures below of the 4th of july~ we are looking forward to ethan's sisters and family being in town for the next couple of weeks and my family's reunion at the coast in august!

a boy!

we are so excited! we love that noah is going to have a little brother! also love the fact that we already have everything we need for a boy.

so ethan has left us this morning for 3 weeks to go work on some houses in arizona...we go where the jobs are.

noah and i miss him already! he has been asking for daddy and of course does not understand what is going on. so i will get see what is is like to be a single parent for awhile.

better late then ever! so i forgot our camera...so all of these pictures are stolen from other people. our trip was short but sweet. we left at about 8:30 pm at night and drove all the way there. noah did so great and slept the whole time. he woke for for a couple hours, we let him stretch at a mcdonalds playland and then he fell back asleep in the car until we got there. toby and oliver also came in the car with us and they did great.

so we got to lehi and slept and relaxed most of the 1st day. i went back up to slc that night with noah to see sarah who has been in school at byui. i then meet up with some old girlfriends and went to dinner. back in lehi, ethan went to a byu baseball game and the nieces and nephews loved playing with toby and oliver.

the next day we went to the zoo with allie, tyler and their adorable kaia who is still the cutest baby ever! and allie's sister beth and her little cutie krew. we had so much fun. it was mommy and mom weekend for mother's day. we had fun seeing all the animals.

the wedding was that afternoon at the slc temple and emma was the most beautiful bride ever. her and issac were defiantly the best looking couple coming out of the temple. i just loved her dress. it was so gorgeous. the reception was later that night at the market street grill and it was so pretty. the cake was so yummy!

the rest of the time was just hung out with family and got to see miss gabe who is in hair school in provo. we just had so much fun with rachele and paul and the kids. i wish i had my camera and could have taken some pictures. noah just loved being around his cousins! lucky for us they are coming out in july for a visit.

we love visiting utah and hope to go back again soon!

Disneyland

We had a blast at Disneyland with our friends Jason and Stephanie, it was really busy with California and Utah's spring breaks, we saw BYU shirts everywhere. Luckily those fast passes are the best and I don't think we waited longer than 20 minutes for a ride. Noah did so great and just hung out in the stroller. We took him on all the rides that we could and he loved it. He loved the Finding Nemo ride with all the fish.

The weather was great the first 2 days and we were laughing at the people wearing sweatshirts. The 3rd day, they had recording breaking heat and it got to 102! We made it about 1/2 day until we had all decided we were done. We went back to our hotel and went to the pool. Then Katie and her friend Stephanie went to the Britney Spears concert that night...hmm guilty pleasure! It was awesome! We can't wait to go back in couple years when Noah is a little older and so is his brother or sister.

On that note, we are expecting! It was a little bit of a surprise, we were planning on trying for this summer but someone decided it is suppose to happen a little sooner. The baby is due in November. We are hoping for a boy and love the idea of Noah having a little brother, but of course we would just be happy with a healthy little baby boy or girl.

Happy Easter

So we have not posted anything in awhile because there has not been anything exciting going on. Well, a few weeks ago Ethan was at the 24 Hr Fitness when I got a phone call that he had dislocated his shoulder. He ended up at the ER and I had never seen him in so much pain. He is still a little sore, I think it is because he over does it.

At Noah's 12 month appointment he was 20 pounds, 30 inches. He is now drinking whole milk to help him gain some more weight. He is starting to walk, he waves, loves to play with his toys, loves going outside, and he is such the little flirt when we go out.

We are going to Disneyland next week so that is exciting and we should have some fun pictures to post and we are going to Utah for my cute cousin Emma's wedding the beginning of May.

We had a wonderful Easter dinner with my sister and dad. I was fun to dress Noah up and get some pictures.

We got they yummiest cake from the Lamb's Thriftway in Wilsonville. They actually did my wedding cake! So yummy! They did such a great job! Noah loves banana's so for his cake we did a banana cake that had fresh banana's in it! He loved it!

DISCLAIMER before you watch!

i have been trying to catch noah on video dancing and bobbing his head for weeks now! the only thing that is really bad about this video is the fact that the music that he is dancing to is only my HORRIBLE singing...thanks for the voice lessons in 8th grade mom & dad! they did wonders! please if you feel so inclined turn your volume way down or off for that matter!

saturday was so pretty with snow that reminded me of utah snow, dry powder wonderful for snowboarding or skiing if you prefer. ethan was out last night driving around in it for hours just having a blast doing doughnuts in empty parking lots. noah and i bowed out of going with after a traumatic experience sliding through an intersection on a red light and almost getting hit by a truck on friday on the way to my mom's house! SO SCARY!

today is a different story that powder turned our driveway and basically the entire ground into an ice skating rink! you literal are walking on 3/4 inch sheet of ice! took some pictures. there is no way i am driving on this stuff, so this should make for an interesting week. hopefully things will clear up by the time xmas comes around so we can be with our families!

we got our tree before the snow. noah just loves to pull all the ornaments off so we have had to move all the ones from the bottom up to the top.

we were not outside that long, but little noah's nose got red so fast!

my mom and sisters and i were suppose to go to Seattle this weekend, but they were hit with a big storm so we had to cancel it...i was pretty bummed. no h&m shopping for me:( glad we did not have to deal with the driving, but i had been saving for shopping for months, oh well.

the storm came our way and Sunday we woke up to it starting to snow. church was cancelled and we had a snow day. we decided to take Noah outside, us living in Oregon never thought to buy a big heavy coat for noah, so we kinda bundled him in a couple layers, put fleece boots on his hands, and i think he could have cared less. the dogs sure loved running around in it.

so pretty having everything covered in snow! i love the snow!

I could not get a picture with his eyes open! Oh well!

This is what I came home to after a day with Dad!

Well, I guess I don't get around to posting his monthly updates until it is halfway over. Oh well, Noah is doing great. He weighs a whooping 17 pounds. He is not quite crawling, he does this thing where he pushing himself up and then he kinda of plops forward and then falls on his stomach. He is getting really quick though. He is eating pretty much anything we eat, and will try anything. He is just loving crawling around and discovering new things.

As far as Ethan and I go, things are pretty much the same. Ethan is somewhat busy, which we are very grateful for. He has a HUGE job coming up that he is starting the 1st of this month which is be so so great. I have gone back to work 4 days now instead of 3 days. A woman at my work had a baby so I am taking over her desk until February. I hate not being with Noah another day, but we could definitely usr the extra money!

We are very excited for the holidays and spending time with family!

We have the world's cutest nieces and nephews. I knew from the beginning not to worry about not having cute kids with Ethan because of how cute all the nieces and nephews are. I do not think that it is possible to not have cute offspring from a Foushee!

Noah is now 7 1/2 months and there is really nothing too exciting happening. No new teeth, not crawling yet. He is just a little guy still and at almost 8 months, he is still wearing some 3-6 months clothes. We are loving every minute of having Noah in our lives.

Trip to Utah

Noah and I had such a great time in Utah, I had not seen my friends in almost 2 years, the last time I was in Utah, they were all in Europe together. So, the trip was very overdue! We stayed with Lindsay in her cute condo that she just bought. We had so much fun seeing everyone. We made a trip up to the mountains to Snowbird and went down to Utah County to see some family. Hopefully we will be back out there soon!

We did our 1st overnight trip without Noah and went to Bend for the weekend for Grant and Nicole's wedding. Grant is one of Ethan's good friends from high school. It was so much fun! We of course left the camera in the car and we were both too lazy to go get it so I stole some cute pictures from the photographer's blog! Nicole hand made everything! She even embroidered the hand towels in the bathroom!!

Great Urban Race

The Great Urban Race was Saturday!

Well, some of you may have heard that Lauren returned from her honeymoon in Costa Rica with E Coli, I think she thought she was going to die! Horrible! So Matt and her were not really up to doing the race. We called up Brittany and she thought she had someone to team up with but he bowed out at the last second.

So we thought she could just join our team, but there was another guy that was alone and needed a team, so they teamed up...his name was Simon and he was so funny! So they gave us our clue envelope and we were off! There were some puzzles and questions you had to answer to know where to go. You then had to take a picture as evidence and they checked your camera at the finish to make sure you got everything. We did at one point have a homeless guy take a picture of us...I thought for sure he was going to run off with the camera, but all the homeless people were really nice and wanted to help. It was pretty funny.

We had to find this cupcake place and eat one...I had no problem completing this task!

We ran all the way from the start at the Park Blocks by Portland State, to Waterfront Park, and then to Union Station NW. For those of you that know Portland, yes that was a lot of ground to cover. We finally decided to get smart and use the Street Car, we were all dying ( except for Simon the hippy who was probably getting really annoyed with how slow we were running)!! I could hardly walk but was able to get some energy to run to the finish only to be really discouraged to see all the people that had already finished ahead of us.

We were 74th out of 120 teams and finished the race in 2 1/2 hours. The 1st place team finished in 59 minutes! How they did that we are still trying to figure out. It was so much fun!! We are so going to do it again next year and already have our strategy for doing it much faster!

I think I defiantly repeat myself when I say I cannot believe Noah is already 6 months old! I am pretty sure I say that every time another month flies by.

He is doing great! We now have 2 bottom teeth, he is rolling all over the place, some hair is starting to sprout on the top of his head, and he is almost sitting up on his own. He just gets chubbier and chubbier everyday, I love it!

We were able to attend our family reunion this summer with my Dad's wonderful family. We had a blast. Noah did great in the car, all 12 hours of the fun drive and we all had a lot fun seeing family. We 1st stopped in Rexburg so Sarah could see the BYUI campus where she is going to school in January, she spent the day with her friend Jessica who is already there for school and the rest of us headed to Jackson Hole for the day. We then went to Island Park where we stayed in a really nice cabin with the family and spent a day in Yellowstone, canoeing, card playing, and eating lots of yummy food. We had such a fun time and we are looking forward to getting to see everyone again for Lauren's wedding at the end of the month!

He is now enjoying rice cereal and some baby food, he has his 1st tooth coming in, and he has the rolling over thing pretty much down. We are loving every minute of it! My sister took these pictures a couple weeks ago, too cute! We are actually going to the Dr. today, a little late on the 4 month appointment, but whatever! He weighs 15 pounds 2 ounces and is 26 inches long.

Weekend in Seattle

We had such such a fun time in Seattle. It was Ethan's 1st trip there and other then the usual 3 hour car drive that turned into a 5 hour car drive (BTW Georgia Rule is a horrible horrible movie but was the only dvd in the car) we had a blast with Scott and his bike riding buddy Doug. Those 2 plus Ethan are quite the comedy trio. We were laughing non-stop the whole time. Riding a bike from Seattle to Portland...hmm..no thanks!

Noah was super good the whole trip and even slept in the little porta-crib in the hotel. Saturday after Ethan woke up to drop off Scott and Doug for the start of the race at around 4:00am, we went to the Space Needle and Pike Market, and just pretty much just walked around.

The Hole Becomes a Pond

The hole in the front of our house is no more. Ethan did such a great job with the help of a few friends. We are still wanting to get some more plants. We even put some fish in it. It looks so awesome. A ton of neighbors have come over to see it or they slowly drive by. Our little house has gone through quite the transformation! It's nice to be married to a contractor!

I feel like i am getting older which is fine, i just can't believe how fast time goes. I was still getting used to saying my husband and weird I am married...3 years later now I am a mommy and I have a son. Crazy! I guess I really do have to grow up, pay mortgages, car payments, other bills...so much responsibility.

Anyways...

We went to my parent's house and had yummy ribs, corn on the cob, and lots of fruit! Oh man those Hood Strawberries are the best, I think I inhaled a pint. I spent Tuesday at the Outlets and got some smokin' deals at the Banana Outlet! I love me a good bargain! We are going to Seattle this weekend to celebrate both our birthdays and have some fun, while helping out Scott should be a fun weekend!

Can you tell I am bored today...3 posts in one day!

We spent our 4th of july at our friend Randy's house, they have a block party with some of their neighbors. It was really fun! One guy made the yummiest shrimp & scallops i have ever had. so yummy! i threw together this strawberry & raspberry thing with angel food cake (my favorite) i had to cheat and eat a couple bites or 2 or 3 maybe! It was sort of healthy!

Randy's neighbors & family are so funny...well i guess most people get pretty funny after some booze! Very entertaining!

My favorite was Randy's 4 yr old niece who loved Noah & was by my side a lot during the day, at one point during she told me she wanted to "turn on some music & get her retard on!"
Come again...yes that is right she said she wanted to "get her retard on"...after trying not to laugh, her dad quickly informed me that she meant her leotard on...not her retard. Ohhhh!!

4 months old

Noah is already 4 months old...it is amazing how you just wake up & that little tiny newborn you brought home from the hospital is completely different. It feels like Noah has also been with us forever, he is getting so big & chubby.

I love it!

We are still waiting for that hair!

yes...the mullet is still alive & in full force...anyone that see noah for the 1st time always laughs at it...yes...serious in the front..party in the back! More like bald in the front~party in the back!

He is a drooling machine & wants to chew on whatever he gets his hands full of including, but not limited to the following:

basically anything that is small enough that he can pick up or pull on. loves to pull on my hair, i may be going bald here in the near future!

Today Ethan is 27!

The church basketball season was going on while I was pregnant. Noah was born that morning
and Ethan played that night...I really could care less. He loves his basketball!

His favorite part of the honeymoon..the ATV Tour to this amazing waterfall...that waterfall turned out to be about the size of the pond that was are building in our front yard.

Ethan always wants me to take pictures where he pretends to be sleeping...really funny!

I was so excited to wake up Sunday morning and to see a text message from Allie telling me she was in labor and at the hospital!! I am just so happy for my beautiful Allie...she had her baby Sunday morning and she is the cutest thing i have ever seen...of course Allie was almost a week early and had an easy labor. Baby Noah and I are making a trip out there in September and we can't wait to meet Baby Kaia!! Congrats Tyler and Allie...she is beautiful!

Digging a Hole

The weather this year has been so weird...we had a pretty mild winter, no big snow or ice storms, but for some reason I don't think we really had a Spring. We had rain, rain, and more rain. It would be 50 degrees one day and 80 degrees the next. Then we are getting snow in June up on Mt. Hood??? WEIRD! Summer is finally here and today was REALLY FREAKIN' HOT.

Ethan decided to do a water feature in the front next to our entrance. In order to make a pond, there has to be a hole, in order to get a hole, you have to dig. A LOT.

Digging Hole+ 100 degrees(maybe not that hot, but felt like)=HELL

I thought I could totally help and get some exercise while doing it. Well, I lasted about 45 minutes and I think I was making it worse when trying to shovel the dirt into Ethan's truck and about 1/2 of that going back into the hole of never ending dirt, not to mention the fact that a VERY large tree that we cut down used to reside there. That tree's roots are still there in the ground which does not help when trying to dig deeper.

You can tell just how much fun my day was. Ethan ended up getting some help from a ward member/neighbor's brother, so Ethan and Patrick were on their own and Noah and I supervised in the shade. They lasted about 30 minutes out there and decided to turn on the sprinkler to cool off. So the day was pretty much a bust and I am pretty sure Ethan will just have our landscaper guy's do it for us or he will rent some machine to do it. WHAT A FUN DAY!

Noah's room got pretty warm, so I put him to bed in just a diaper. He just looked so cute I could not pass up the wonderful photo opportunity. He is just growing so fast, we are soaking up every minute of it! He is just so stinkin' cute!!

Well, it is official, baby Sarah is no longer a baby anymore. Today she graduated from Tualatin High School and she will be turning 18 on Tuesday! I remember the day she was born! So crazy how time flies. Sarah will be attending BYU Idaho this winter. We will all miss her when she is gone and we are glad we still get some time before she has to leave.

3 Months

So Noah is 3 months already!! He smiles all the time but has not laughed quite yet. He is trying. He is also trying so hard to roll over. He has not quite figured out what to do with those arms. He is getting so chubby! I am not sure how much he weighs. I would guess probably about 12 pounds or so.

For the last month or so I having been meaning to take a picture of this. The 1st time I found him he had somehow pushed himself all the was to the top of his crib. He does this pretty much every night! I finally captured it on camera! We even have one of those sleep position thing. Don't waste your money on those! And yes the mullet is still there, but now you can see just above it is completely bald! Pretty Funny!!!

So things with us are good. I have been back at work the last couple of weeks working 3 days a week. My mom is watching Noah for me while I am work. It was so hard to leave Noah, that 1st day was the worst. I cried as I drove off, but I have gotten over it. My favorite part of the day is when I get to pick him up from my parent's house!

The time with Noah is just flying by! We cannot believe he is already 2 Months old!!! We went to the Dr on Monday and he got his shots. It was horrible! I started to cry!! He did ok and but I felt just horrible.

He is still just a little guy and only weighs 10 1/2 pounds now and is 22 1/2 inches long. I swear I feed him, our Dr says he is perfectly healthy and is doing fine.

Ladies Eat Your Heart Out!!!

We can't believe he is already a month old, time is just flying by. We tried to get him to smile for the camera, but failed. Noah is still doing really good sleeping at night which we have be so happy about, best advice I can give any new mom who wants to have her baby sleep at night is to read the Baby Wise book. It is the best!!! Poor Noah has had really bad baby acne the last couple of weeks!! But I think it is finally starting to clear up.

Things are well, Noah has slept for 5 hours in a row for the last 4 nights! He is not napping quite as long during the day, but still a lot. At his 2 week appointment he weighed 7 lbs 11 oz. and is 21 inches long. He is starting to fill his clothes out a little better.

He is starting to grow somewhat of a mullet on the back of his head!! Pretty Funny!

Well, after 5 blood tests and a day and half on the bili lights, Noah's jaundice levels have finally gone down, he has gained more weight, and is up to 7 pounds 5 oz.

He is still looking a little yellow but getting more pink each day.

I caught him sleeping and thought he looked so cute!! The closest camera was my cell phone, so the pictures are not the greatest.

I know I am a little bias, but I do think we have the cutest baby ever. Don't be jealous!!! :)

Jaundice Update

Well sure enough, Noah's bilirubin test results were higher than the day before. So we had to start the light treatment yesterday. Not what I had imagined. I thought it would be this case that Noah would sleep in with lights over him.

It is actually like a blanket that lights up and is strapped to his back. He has to wear it for 24 hours with just a diaper on. I thought last night he would have a hard time sleeping but he actually slept really well. I think he must like the noise the fan on the machine makes.

We go back to the hospital tomorrow for yet another blood test and to our dr. in the afternoon. Hopefully he will have gained some weight and his levels will start to go down.

Poor Noah...he has jaundice. You can see how yellow he is in some of his pictures.

We have had to had the billirubin test on his little heel 3 times now and have to go in again tomorrow. Today's test he was a 15.9 but because he has gained weight, he is still the same. So tomorrow's test we should know for sure if it is tapering off or if it gets any higher. If is still getting too high, we will have to start the light treatment. Hopefully it is tapering off!!!

We have had a few people ask how the dogs are doing with Noah. The 1st day Oliver was very curious and the look on his face when Noah cried the 1st day was pretty funny. Toby on the other hand ran and hid under his bed and did not really want anything to do with the baby. Few days and they are both fine with him and are always very curious and wanting to see Noah. As far as the labor, I was going to go in Tuesday night and get induced Wednesday morning but Noah decided to come on his own which was fine by me.

Monday morning I went to the Dr. at 10:30am and he did his thing and he was able to get me to 2 cm. A painful 2 cm I might add. I started feeling cramping at about 11am on and off and I called the dr. office and was told it was because I was checked that morning and the cramping was normal.

Well at about 9pm that "normal cramping" was every 5 minutes and I was ready to die. I finally convinced Ethan that I thought it was time to go to the hospital. I had been having contractions ever 5 minutes or so for the last 3 hours.

So we finally got to the hospital at about midnight and Ethan was so sure that they would send us home, he left everything in the car. Well the nurse checked me and I was about a 3 to a 4 and of course we stayed. I got my wonderful epidural at around 4am or so. I had to wait an hour for it because they were giving one to someone ahead of me, that was fun. But once I got that I was in heaven!!

I tried to get some sleep but it was hard because I was so anxious, I started pushing about 9:30am and he was out at 10:20am! Pretty amazing!! We are happy and want to thank everyone that visited us and have brought us food and goodies. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful family and great friends!

I have been getting a ton of emails, calls, and texts.

No I have not had the baby yet. He is apparently very cozy in there and does not want to come out.

I can say I am getting more and more uncomfortable each day and I am trying to just stay positive and not complain!!! Key word in that sentence is TRYING!!!!

It looks like next Wednesday may be the day...but we will see could still happen!!!

Due Date and NOTHING!

Well, the baby is due today and at my last appointment on Monday, my body is still not doing anything. So we decided to wait another week and see what happens. If I do not go into labor in the next 6 days then I will go into the hospital Tuesday night and he will get me going on the Cervidil overnight to get my cervix to start actually doing something and Wednesday morning he will induce me. BUT I still could go into labor between now and then.

So I have been doing a lot of walking, trying to get this baby to come out!!!

Either way we should have our little baby by next Wednesday!!!

While I have chosen not to document my HUGE body, I was finally talked into taking one picture just to proof to everyone just how HUGE I really am!!! No I am not having twins or a 10 pound baby and this was taken when I was about 37 weeks. Not fun!!! Overall, I have felt fine during the pregnancy, no back pain or anything too bad. I just hate being so BIG!!! Almost done!!

Oliver's 1st Birthday

Ok, so I decided that I would do a birthday party just once for Oliver. He turned 1yrs old on Oct. 6th. There is a dog bakery in West Linn where I got the cake, we went to my parents house so Lucy their dog could have some cake. It was fun and the dogs loved it. Oliver got a ton of presents. Ethan thought I was crazy!!! Only once!!! Toby will get a party in April. HeHe!!

Toby and Oliver do not like to share. Even if we give them both one of something. Toby will drop his and just sit by Oliver hoping that he will let him have whatever he is chewing. Pretty funny to watch!

We could not find Toby anywhere only to find him hiding under the ottaman.

So Ethan was going through the camera card and we came to the conclusion that we take a lot of pictures of our dogs. Both Ethan and I never thought we would be one of those dog people that obesses over them, but what can we say, we love our little dogs!!!

We decide that one of our favorite places that we visited on our trip to Europe was England. We took a cheap flight from Brussels to London. We stayed in a really nice Marriott that was about a 3o minute train ride to downtown London. So we took the train and rode the underground and really got the whole transportation thing down. We also did some tours to Bath, Oxford, Stonehenge, Stratford, Leeds, Winsor, and Warwick Castle. We even travled to the London Temple and did a session there. Ethan wore his new suite. We did and saw a lot in about a week. We also got to see Les Mes in London's West End which was awesome!!!
We had a blast!!!

This was on a bridge that you could take pictures from. The very high bridge, I just wanted him to take the picture so I could get off the very high scary bridge.

We went to the Torture Museum in Rothenburg very interesting.

My favorite part of Belgium...the waffles!!!

In Brussels, they had this statue of a little boy peeing. Tons of tourists there. We saw this in one of the stores and actually had to buy something there just so Ethan could get his picture!!
